Thank you, Molly! I can send you the poem in an email if you want. :-)
DeleteLove you!
Hi Becky, Lovely to read some of your writing. I just arrived in Yangon, based here for work. I'm so interested in some of the posts you have written. I also write - as a poet and journalist, although it is not my full-time work, it takes up lots of my spare time. I saw you mentioned that there is a writer's group in Yangon. Would it be possible to let me know the details? In fact there are so many things from your blog I would love to ask you.... If you would like (more likely be willing) to get coffee or chat by email and fill me in - do let me know - that would be great! :) I'm so curious to know more about what there is going on in this city. You can contact me at: catrionakn@btinternet.com
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend. Bw,
Hi Catriona!
DeleteThank you for your message. I did try to email you back, but not sure if you received the message or not. I'd be more than happy to meet-up for coffee and a chat.
Yes, there is a writers' group in Yangon. We meet twice a month (every other Wed) at Gusto Cafe (upstairs in Monument Bookstore on Damazhedi Rd). This Wed - tomorrow - is our next meet-up. You are more than welcome to join! We meet from 6pm-8pm.
Let me know if you'd like to meet. :)
Cheers + welcome to Yangon!
Becky, I am so proud of you. You are amazing!

DeleteIf you need (more likely be willing) to get espresso as well as chitchat through email and complete me personally throughout * do tell me - that could be great! :) I'm thus inquisitive to find out a little more about what there is occurring within this town.
